Welcome

• Respectful first-hand experiences, including fair criticism of employers in measured language.
• Study discussion in your own words, and links to authorised resources.
• Questions at any level. Everyone starts with a first co-op.

Not allowed

• Threats, targeted harassment, hate, sexual exploitation, personal attacks and unsupported allegations about named people.
• Doxxing or anyone's personal information: addresses, phone numbers, student numbers, IDs, private messages.
• Recruiter contact details, interview recordings, confidential assessment questions, client information, internal source code or NDA material.
• Active assignment or exam answers, answer keys, unauthorised course files, cheating services. A past exam needs evidence of permission or a link to an authorised source.
• Scams, unlawful goods, animal sales, prescription drugs, homemade food sales and vehicle rentals.
• Copyright infringement, spam, duplicate posts and manufactured accounts.

How moderation works

We use automated checks, user reports and human review. Automated checks flag content for a person to look at; they are not a verdict. Most posts appear straight away. Possible personal information, sensitive employer allegations and every uploaded file are reviewed before they appear. We cannot review everything in advance or guarantee every violation is caught.

Our targets during staffed hours: urgent safety and personal-information reports first, routine reports within 24 hours, appeals within 3 business days. These are goals, not round-the-clock staffing.

Moderation is not university approval, professional advice or a guarantee of safety. The same rules apply to paid members, earned rewards and private groups.

Starting limits

These help keep spam down and may change after the pilot. We will update this page first.

• New accounts: 3 new discussions and 20 replies a day; 20,000 characters per discussion, 5,000 per reply.
• Groups: account at least 7 days old to create; 2 owned and 10 joined per member; 50 members per group; 10 messages a minute and 200 a day; chat history kept 90 days.
• Listings expire after 30 days unless renewed.
• Beans: 1 on a day with an approved contribution (up to 5 a week), 2 for an accepted answer after 48 hours, at most 60 a month. Self-awards and reciprocal award patterns are reversed.

Reports and appeals

Every post, reply, profile, listing, group and message can be reported. A report is an allegation we assess, not proof. If we remove something of yours we tell you why, and you can appeal. You can block or mute anyone without giving a reason.
