Terms of use
Draft for legal review before public launch. Version 2026-10-24.
Your responsibility
You are responsible for the posts, comments, messages, listings and files you share, including information you disclose about yourself or others. Only share material you own, have permission to share, or have another lawful right to use. Follow our Community Rules and respect other people's privacy, copyright and confidentiality obligations.
Do not upload or share leaked exams, unauthorised course materials, confidential interview assessments, employer information, private messages, passwords, student numbers, identity documents or someone else's personal information without a lawful basis. Remove identifying information from resumes, screenshots and documents before sharing. A private group is not permission to disclose confidential material.
How we moderate
We use automated checks, user reports and human review to make reasonable efforts to identify and remove inappropriate content. We cannot review everything in advance or guarantee that every violation will be detected. We may hold, restrict or remove content and suspend accounts under our rules. You can report a concern or appeal a moderation decision through the published process.
Public content
Public contributions may be indexed, copied or shared by others. Think carefully before posting sensitive information. Deleting a contribution from this site cannot guarantee removal of copies held by other people or external search services. Verification badges show access to a university email, not that a person or their content has been approved by the university.
Your content stays yours
You keep ownership of what you post. You give ChowChow Labs a limited, non-exclusive licence to host, display, deliver, moderate and back up your contributions to run this service. We do not claim ownership of your work and we do not sell private content or student data.
Accounts
- The pilot is open to people 18 and older.
- One person, one account. Do not impersonate anyone or create accounts to manipulate votes or rewards.
- Beans have no cash value and cannot be bought, sold, transferred or exchanged for goods or services.
- Paid upload plans show the exact feature, duration, final price and refund terms at checkout. Payment does not exempt anyone from these terms.
No advice, no guarantees
Posts are students' own views. Nothing here is professional, legal, financial or medical advice, and moderation is not a guarantee that information is accurate or that a person or listing is safe.
Changes
If we materially change these terms, we will ask you to accept the new version before you post again. We record the version and time you accept.
